Kmart Super Doubles

We just got home from camping,

Of course I one of the first things I did was turn on my computer!

Only to find some great news...

KMart is having Super Doubles again!!!

I thought I'd let everyone know just in case you haven't already heard!

Now unfortunately this time they are only taking 10 MQ at a time.

Weekly Groceries...

I had a much better week for groceries than last week!

And if you add in my Walgreens trip

I felt it was a pretty decent week.

This Picture cost me $44.97

At Meijer I spent $23.46 for 29 items

and at Kroger I spent $21.51 for 20 items

At Walgreens I spent $2.30 (in another pic here)

for 13 items or .18 cents per item

And at CVS I spent $1.98 for 2 more gallons of milk

Altogether I spent $49.25 of my $55. Budget

for 64 items or .77 cents per item.

That gives me right around $6. to buy some meat at my local butcher.

I'm low on chicken so I will probably buy 3# of chicken at $1.99/lb and

that will be enough for 3 future meals!

Piggy Paint Review and Giveaway

My daughter was so excited when I told

her Piggy Paint was sending us a surprise nail polish.

When it arrived she ripped the box open and found that we received the gold color. I wasn't so sure but she absolutely LOVED the color. So of course we applied it right away. I have to admit it really was a cute color. Not only did we get the nail color but also a bottle of polish remover.

Just today after 5 days I took a look and it was almost ALL there. Very few chips to even speak of. When I was looking she even mentioned "and we didn't even use the clear stuff"! I thought that's true we didn't use the clear protective coat, looks like we didn't need to either!!

Coupons for the Troops

I've had several of you ask about the

Coupons for Troops program.

So I went to work and did some more research. I slightly looked into it a year ago but then never pursued it. I know I should have been doing this all along. It just became one of those things I wanted to do but never took the time...

I even had them in a box several times....

I guess better late than never!!!

I suggest starting here at Happy Housewife and check out her post. I think you email her for more info. and to be assigned to a base.

Looks easy enough!

She says to make sure that the coupons are less than 3 mo. expired.

Or you can go here and adopt a base.

I chose Sigonella, Sicily because they don't seem to have many on their list.

A few things I learned from this site on sending the coupons ...

** Send them using USPS -- Parcel Post is the cheapest or use Priority Mail with flat rate envelope.

** You will have to fill out Form 2976-A -- use description "coupons", make the value $0.00, and check the "gift box"

** Might need to explain to the post office that the coupons are going to a "position" not a "person"

I think it actually sounds pretty simple to do!

Can't wait to collect enough and send them.
